Serving

The food that was served on the large table was brought from the ancillary room whose doors was integrated into the wall paneling, while the food was prepared in the courtyard kitchen two floors below. It is interesting to note that the servants were placed in separate rooms, and had a separate direction of movement so that the service could be carried out with minimal disturbance of the owners.

Today, the part of the space with ancillary function houses a portion of the permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of Trakošćan and its owners.

Above the door, and towards the tapestry salon, there is the coat of arms of the noble family of Erdödy, whose members were prominent in the public life of this region of Croatia. Today, this coat of arms is on the flag of the Varaždin County, which also comprises the Trakošćan area.

The ceiling is decorated with plain five-sided fields, which give the appearance of a net-like structure. The walls are covered in wooden paneling characteristic of the entire castle.
