Rococo room

The rococo room has two sections that are presented, a work area located in the left section and a bedroom in the right section. The entire inventory stems from the second half of the nineteenth century.

In the cabinet section, there are two finely carved ornate writing desks with drawers and secret compartments. The bedroom section includes: furniture, two wall and table candelabras, and a desk clock. Family portraits in oval frames were also created in the spirit of rococo in the first half of the eighteenth century, and they constitute a continuation of the portrait series located in the Knight's Hall and depicting rulers and military leaders. The count Ivan V Drašković had his family members portrayed, and his second wife, Maria Katharina von Brandis, is depicted here as well. They had two sons and three daughters, and the young gentleman in gray is probably Josip Kazimir Drašković at the age of 16, whereas the female portrait, if compared to the mother's figure, may depict their eldest daughter, Ivana Dora.
