Baroque room

Rooms on the second floor are furnished simpler. They served as bedrooms for guests who came to visit. The museum's material is exhibited according to the stylistic periods ranging from baroque to Biedermeier.

The baroque room differs from other rooms on this floor by the old preserved wooden door frame, which is located on the outside of the entrance to the room. The door frame has a post and a lintel, each made in relief work, with carved large letters and numbers: 16 PB AS 39. The numbers indicate the year 1639 and the abbreviated letters relate to the function of the room, which probably served as a chapel in the seventeenth century.

The living room and the bedroom are both furnished in German baroque style. The cabinet, bed, wardrobes and chests date back to the seventeenth century, and the chairs are made in French style. The tables are interesting: one is a stretching kind with the year 1748 inlaid on the tabletop, and the other is a card playing table. In the corner, there is a clock stand with a dial, and on the walls one can see two decorated brass plates from the seventeenth century. A richly painted oval mirror and an eighteenth-century chandelier particularly stand out. Next to the bed there is a wooden head, which served as a wig stand.
