The book holdings mostly date back to the nineteenth century. Only a small portion belongs to the eighteenth and the early twentieth centuries. The holdings contain fictional literature, encyclopaedic publications and periodicals as well as handbooks on hunting, cooking and sports etc.
The Trakošćan library is a significant indicator of the rich history and culture of the family. It reveals the general cultural level of the society and the state of spiritual and material climate that influenced the everyday life of the members of a high class.
Above the bookcase, one can see an eighteenth-century decorative painting. Oil on canvas, it portrays a hunt scene. A green mansory stove is decorated with the coats of arms of the Latour and Drašković families.
The archaeological collection is housed in a small cabinet. It contains stone axes from the Neolithic period and clay pots from the Bronze Age.
